There is strong interest in the information stand of the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) at the Bulgaria across Five Oceans career forum of the Bulgaria Wants You platform in Sofia on Saturday, said the exhibitor at the stand, Denislav Chakarov, editor at the BTA Historical Archive Department.

He added that the stand was visited by parliamentary Committee on Labour and Social Policy Chair Denitsa Sacheva, who is also Deputy Floor Leader of GERB-UDF. In his words, Sacheva was impressed by the LIK magazine. Sacheva also looked at the book presenting each of the 125 years of BTA's history with one important event from Bulgaria and the world. She looked at the information about 1973, which is her birth year, Chakarov specified. The news item from Bulgaria for that year is social - that the six-day work week is being reduced to a five-day week, a fact that Sacheva did not know, Chakarov added.

He also said that people who stop by the BTA information stand are familiar with the Agency's work, some of them ask about job and internship opportunities. There is also interest from Bulgarians who have come from abroad. Some of the visitors are interested in where they can find the LIK magazine.

At the BTA stand, visitors get acquainted with the Agency’s publications, including issues of the LIK magazine and books dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the establishment of the national news agency. The 20th World Meeting of Bulgarian Media, organized by BTA, is also presented at the exhibition. This year’s media forum took place on May 24 and 25 in Sofia, the Klisura Monastery and the town of Varshets.

The Bulgaria across Five Oceans career forum was officially opened on Saturday at the Inter Expo Centre in Sofia. The event has a renewed vision, an expanded concept and a larger scale. Two main stages are available, titled “Success and Lessons” and “Leaders of Change”, with independent programmes in which Bulgarians with professional achievements in Bulgaria and abroad, representatives of business, institutions and the non-governmental sector participate.
