Delyan Dobrev, MP from the GERB-UDF Parliamentary Group and Chair of the Parliamentary Budget Committee, denied reports that he is leaving the party, posting a statement on his Facebook profile.

“It is not true that I am leaving GERB,” Dobrev wrote. “I remain in the party and will continue to help each of you in any way I can, standing by everyone as you have stood by me over the past 20+ years. Nothing being circulated publicly is true.”

He added a message to his critics: “Dear adversaries, don’t be quick to celebrate! Until we meet again!”

Earlier, GERB-UDF MP and Parliament Deputy Chair Kostadin Angelov told Bulgarian National Radio that he does not confirm media reports claiming Dobrev is leaving GERB, the parliamentary group, or politics.

Dobrev’s statement clarifies his commitment to continue his political work within GERB, dismissing speculation in the media.
