Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov and Chinese Ambassador Dong Xiaojun, whose mandate in Bulgaria is coming to an end, discussed the possibilities for expanding the partnership in the areas of economy, trade, education and investments, said the Council of Ministers on its official Facebook page on Tuesday.
Among the highlights of the conversation between the two were the opportunities to attract more Chinese tourists who are interested in cultural events in Bulgaria.
"Thank you very much for everything you have done over the years for the development of bilateral relations between Bulgaria and China," Denkov said.
The Prime Minister was confident that the continuity of the work of the embassy will be ensured and the fruitful cooperation between the countries will continue.
On November 20, President Rumen Radev conferred the Order of the Madara Horseman, First Class, on Ambassador Dong for his merits for the deepening of bilateral relations between Bulgaria and China.
