Wednesday is the sixth day when junctions are closed in Stara Zagora, the Trakia motorway is blocked, in the area of 208 km, the cloverleaf in the direction of Stara Zagora and in the direction of Haskovo, as well as the Pass of the Republic. The reason is the protest of miners and energy workers.
On Tuesday, Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov met with some of the protesters in the building of the National Assembly. The meeting was also attended by MPs. A seven-point agreement was signed. On Wednesday, they will be submitted to the National Assembly and will be voted on, so that it is clear that the commitment is not only of the government, but also of the parties that support this government.
The protesters on the Trakia motorway said they will wait to see if Parliament backs the agreement, and then they will decide whether to end the protest actions.
