President Rumen Radev cabled condolences to Morocco's King Mohammed VI over the growing number of victims of the devastating earthquake in the North African country, the President's Press Secretariat reported here on Tuesday.
The Bulgarian head of State expresses his and the Bulgarian people's sincerest condolences to the families and friends of those who died and wishes a speedy recovery of those injured by the devastating natural disaster, the letter of condolences reads.
According to data by the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake had a preliminary magnitude of 6.8 when on the night of Friday to Saturday. The confirmed death toll stands at 2,681, close to 1,600 of which were from the Al Haouz Province, which was the hardest-hit, the Moroccan Interior Ministry said.
