Saturday is day of reflection before the April 2 snap general elections in Bulgaria. According to the Election Code, canvassing is prohibited from midnight on April 1 until the end of polling day at 8 pm on April 2.
Local authorities have the right to prohibit the sale of alcohol in the respective municipality on the day of reflection.
Polling agencies may not announce the results of opinion polls related to the elections, in any form, beginning 24 hours before the election day and ending as the end of the election day is announced.
On polling day, it is prohibited to place campaign materials of parties, coalitions and initiative committees in polling stations, as well as at a distance of less than 50 metres from the entrance of the building in which a polling station is set up. If the section election committee finds such material, it shall remove it immediately.
