Employees of the Haskovo Labour Inspectorate protested Wednesday demanding decent pay and better working conditions.
They pointed out that there should be an increase in salaries by at least 20% and gave an example that a newly hired employee in the structure starts with a gross salary of BGN 1650. They emphasized that the protest is symbolic to express solidarity with their colleagues from all over the country.
In addition to increasing wages in the sector, labour inspectors are also insisting on sufficient funds being provided by the state to ensure the normal functioning of the work process and the performance of control activities, such as consumables, repairs, and improvements to working conditions, as well as funds for travel expenses.
