Democracy, Rights and Freedoms (DRF) Floor Leader Dzhevdet Chakarov met with Turkiye's Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan, the DRF press service reported on Thursday. On the agenda were issues of regional and global importance, such as the need to end military conflicts and strengthen stability in the Black Sea and Middle East region.

The two focused on deepening bilateral cooperation and identified opportunities for the implementation of joint initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of the Turkish and Muslim communities in Bulgaria. Chakarov and Fidan expressed their commitment to the preservation of the cultural identity, rights and unity of the community, underlining its role as a factor for stability, peaceful coexistence and social cohesion in Bulgaria.
