site.btaNorth Macedonia Constitutional Court Delegation to Visit Bulgaria June 7-10

A delegation from the Constitutional Court of the Republic of North Macedonia, headed by its President Dobrila Katsarska will pay an official visit to Bulgaria at the invitation of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Bulgaria between June 7 and June 10. The delegation includes two other judges and the Secretary General of the Constitutional Court of North Macedonia, the Bulgarian Constitutional Court said Tuesday.

During the visit, issues of citizens' access to constitutional justice will be discussed. The focus of the meeting will be preparations for the establishment of a Balkan Constitutional Forum as an association of constitutional courts in the countries of South-Eastern Europe, whose first event will take place in Sofia at the end of October 2023.

The visit will take place within the framework of the agreement signed on May 18, 2022. The Memorandum of Understanding on Bilateral Cooperation between the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Constitutional Court of the Republic of North Macedonia was signed on May 20, 2022.
