World-famous artist Lou Bega will perform at the Rose Festival in Kazanlak, which culminates on June 6-8, the local administration said on Wednesday.

David Lubega, better known by his stage name Lou Bega, is a German singer. His 1999 song Mambo No. 5, a remake of Perez Prado's 1949 instrumental piece, reached No. 1 in many European countries and was nominated for a Grammy Award.

Lubega began his musical career as a teenager, first as a part of hip-hop and Latin pop bands and later discovering his musical trademark, combining musical elements from the 1940s and 1950s with contemporary rhythms. His unique style has brought him international fame, as he has given hundreds of concerts around the world and received numerous awards.

The festival begins on May 15 with a show leading to the selection of Queen Rose.
