site.btaBulgaria Registers EU's Highest Housing Prices Increase in Q4 of 2024, Y/Y


Bulgaria registered the highest annual house prices increase in the European Union (EU) in the fourth quarter of 2024 with 18.3% - more than 5% ahead of the second highest in Hungary (13%), Eurostat data published on Tuesday show. Compared to the previous quarter, the prices in the country rose by 2.7%.
On average, the prices in EU marked a 4.9% annual increase and a 0.8% rise compared to the previous quarter.
Among the Member States for which data are available, two showed an annual decrease in house prices in the fourth quarter of 2024, and twenty-four showed an annual increase. The falls were registered in France and Finland - both 1.9%. Compared with the previous quarter, prices decreased in six Member States, remained stable in two (Malta and Finland) and increased in eighteen Member States.
