The Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) provided its LIK typeface to the Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency (BSMEPA) on Monday. The agreement was signed by BTA Director General Kiril Valchev and BSMEPA Executive Director Boyko Takov at a ceremony at BTA’s National Press Club in Sofia.

Valchev noted that BSMEPA will be the eighth institution in Bulgaria to use the LIK typeface.

Valchev also recalled that on April 26, 2021, BTA signed a cooperation agreement with BSMEPA. He reported that there have been a total of nearly 500 publications in BTA over the past 10 years, with the majority published after the partnership agreement was signed. This year the number is the highest, reaching 145.

“We will adopt the typeface with great pride and will place it on our revamped website, which is expected to start operating within the next few days,” Takov said, adding that the typeface will be used in everything related to the Agency. “We see BTA as a partner, and I promise that we will continue to supply it with information over the coming year,” he added.

Takov said that BSMEPA is launching many new projects: “We launched a project entirely focused on Northern Bulgaria; at the beginning of the year we are due to launch a project aimed at Bulgaria and Serbia under the cross-border cooperation between the two countries. We also have a project with the Stock Exchange,” the Executive Director explained. He added that the projects will need media support so that more companies are aware of the opportunities being offered, can register to take part in these programmes, and so that BSMEPA’s goal can be achieved - namely, to help them move up to the next level of their economic development.

Valchev invited BSMEPA, in the first half of next year, to present its projects for Bulgaria and Serbia at BTA’s National Press Clubs in Belgrade and Bosilegrad, an invitation that was supported by Takov.
