site.bta15 Bulgarian Judokas to Take Part in World Judo Cadet Championship in Zagreb
15 Bulgarian judokas will compete at the World Cadet Championship in Zagreb (Croatia), which starts on Wednesday. The team, led by coaches Iliyana Galenkova, Petya Sarieva, Bozhidar Temelkov, Kostadin Topalov and Denislav Zlatanov, will also take part in the team competition on Sunday. The president of the federation Rumen Stoilov and Diana Maksimova, responsible for the international activities of the Bulgarian Judo Federation, will also attend the competition.
A total of 578 judokas from 64 countries are registered for the event.
The meetings start on Wednesday, and the Bulgarians will take the tatami with Ivo Galenkov and Atanas Atanasov (50 kg), as well as Denis Galabov (55 kg).
On Thursday will start Sofia Rangelova (48 kg), Denitsa Georgieva (52 kg), Georgi Damyanov and Desislav Atanasov (60 kg), Kristian Genov and Stylian Glushkov (66 kg).
On Friday is the competition for Emily Apostolova (63 kg), Kosta Panayotov (73 kg) and Emil Valchev (81 kg), and on Saturday will come Nadie Jaafar (70 kg), Vanesa Pingelova (70 kg) and Dimitar Kurtakov (over 90 kg).
