Bulgaria's U18 boys lost 1:2 to Portugal at the European Team Tennis Cup in Vichy (France). So on Thursday the national team will play against Slovenia for the fifth place in the tournament.

Anas Mazdrashki dramatically lost the singles to Gonzalo Marques 6:7(6), 6:4, 4:6. Georgi Georgiev suffered defeat to Rodrigo Fernandez 1:6, 2:6. In the doubles match, Georgiev and Pavel Marinov defeated Fernandez and Sarawa 4:6, 6:2, 10-6.

Meanwhile, Bulgaria's U18 national women will play Ukraine in their first European Team Cup match in Arad, Romania. 

The Bulgarians are listed first in the schedule and missed the first round. Ukraine had a 2-1 win over Serbia.

If successful against Ukraine, the national women team will qualify for the finals of the best eight teams in Europe in France.

The team of Bulgaria is comprised of Ivana Ivanova (TC Cherno More Elite, Varna), Rositsa Dencheva (TC Pleven 90, Pleven) and Alexandra Gabrovska (TC Karatancheva, Sofia) with captain Velyan Bakalov.
