Public supplier Bulgargaz offers a price for natural gas for June that is nearly 15% lower than the May price, the company's CEO Denitsa Zlateva said on Monday. At an open meeting later, the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (EWRC) is discussing a report on a May 11 application for approval of a price for June at which the public supplier is to sell natural gas to end-suppliers and persons licensed to produce and transport heat.

According to Zlateva, since the beginning of May the price of the "month ahead" stock index in Europe has fallen by 14%, and is expected to fall a little more by the end of the month.

The EWRC approved a natural gas price for May of BGN 77.55 per megawatt-hour, excluding access, transmission, excise and VAT charges.
