A delegation of representatives of Chinese high-tech companies visited Vidin on Monday to present their activities and potential for cooperation.
Vidin Mayor Tsvetan Tsenkov said that the interest in Vidin Region is not small. "Let's hope that processes related to the industrialization of the city will also begin to occur in Vidin," he noted.
During the meeting, products of an electronics company with a portfolio of over 15,000 items were presented, as well as innovative kitchen robots based on AI and projects of a company from the healthcare sector, which combines traditional Chinese medicine with modern healing methods.
The visiting companies work in a wide range of fields, which include fishing, construction, information and communication technologies, tourism, electronics, healthcare and finance. Their branches operate not only in China, but also in Russia, Malaysia, Angola, Australia and other countries.
A twinning agreement is currently being prepared between Vidin and the Chinese city of Foshan, which hosts the largest Dragon Boat Festival in the world. The ambition is to organize a similar event on the Danube River near Vidin, which would bring new opportunities for cultural and tourist exchange, the Municipality said.
