A total of 52.11%  of Turkish voters voted for Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, with 98.52% of the ballots counted, Turkish television NTV informed. Some 47.89% voted for opposition candidate Kemal Kulcdaroglu.

The run-off vote in the presidential elections took place on Sunday.

The opposition media, Halk TV and ANKA agency, which initially announced that Kulcdaroglu was leading, later reported that Erdogan was in the lead.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban already congratulated Turkish President Erdogan on his "undeniable election victory", as did the Emir of Qatar and Russian President Vladimir Putin, reported the state-run Anadolu Agency.

The agency cited data from the Supreme Election Council, according to which Kemal Kulcdaroglu was in the lead in the three largest Turkish cities, Ankara, Izmir and Istanbul.
