The fifth edition of the Pomorie Run was held on May 13 on the unique course between Pomorie Lake and the Black Sea, which this year was 10.4 km long.

Alexander Spasov (Ihtiman) was the only one who ran the course in under 40 minutes with 39:49 and recorded his second victory in the RUN BULGARIA 2023 circuit. Spasov's runners-up were the brothers Iliya and Atanas Kutsarov, who finished with the same time 40:51, but centimeters ahead was the more experienced Iliya - former marathon champion of Bulgaria.

Marinela Tsekova (Golden Spike) had no competition in the women's race with 52:06. Anna Hristova (Athlete - Mezdra) with 58:26 and Svetoslava Spasova (Tangra - Varna) with 62:26 completed the honourable trio.

Traditionally, there was a short distance of 2023 meters, which was won by Kristian Vrazev (Pomorie) in the boys and Stephanie Trakalyanova (Nessebar) in the girls.

The awards were presented by the Deputy Mayor of Pomorie Municipality Yancho Iliev, who took part in the 2023 m run.

The top six in the men's and women's races received cash prizes, and there were gifts from Sport Depot and Nike for the top three. Thanks to "Biophar" and "Sting Pharma" the runners received part of the finish line reimbursement, and "Nestle for Live Active" and "Bankya" mineral water were also among the partners of the event.

The day before the competition on May 12, a team of the Bulgarian Athletics Federation, Athletic Club "Athlete 2004 - Pomorie", RUN BULGARIA and Pomorie Municipality held a Children's Athletics class at "Ivan Vazov" Secondary School.
