The search and rescue team of the Chief Directorate Fire Safety and Civil Protection has returned to Bulgaria. Their mission in Turkiye after the earthquakes lasted 11 days.
Head of the Directorate Aleksandar Dzhartov said the organisation was perfect. Almost 80 people from different services in the country participated in the rescue operations, including Sofia, Plovdiv, Veliko Tarnovo, Montana, Pernik and Kyustendil.
The head of the firefighters' team, Kaloyan Donchev, told a media briefing at the Kapitan Andreevo border checkpoint that it was hard to imagine the scale of the disaster.
