Bulgargaz proposes a natural gas price for March of EUR 32.60/MWh, excluding access, transmission, excise duty and VAT charges, Executive Director Veselin Sinabov said on Wednesday. Sinabov spoke during a public meeting of the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (EWRC), where the supplier’s proposal for the coming month was discussed.
The price needs to be approved by the energy regulator.
The initial price proposed by Bulgargaz for March was EUR 32.85 per MWh, but Sinabov said the company has lowered its estimates due to reduced delivery requests from some clients for the month.
The EWRC approved a natural gas price for February of EUR 32.30/MWh, excluding access, transmission, excise duty and VA, meaning the price proposed by Bulgargaz on Wednesday for March is 0.93% higher.
For comparison, in March 2025 the company sold natural gas at BGN 87.58/MWh (EUR 44.79/MWh), meaning the proposed price for March 2026 is 36.35% lower.
The EWRC is due to take a final decision on the March natural gas price on February 27.
