Ignata Vassileva displays 14 paintings at the Art Gallery Paris in Sofia. The opening of the Birds of Paradise exhibition will be on February 12. It can be viewed until February 28, both in person and online on the gallery's website, the hosts of the exhibit said. This is the artist's debut at the Art Gallery Paris. It is inspired by the richness and harmony of nature.

"Huge flowers, small delicate robins, ducks, and beautiful pheasants merge into an incredible harmony of colours. Ignata Vassileva's paintings are extremely poetic, lavish, and filled with love for nature. This connection between humans and their natural habitat is so necessary today, when we are immersed in sterile offices and concrete jungles. And we seem to forget that parks and botanical gardens are always accessible. They are small pieces of paradise that remind us of who we are, harmonize our souls, and bring us back to a truly vibrant, full life," Nadia Pavlova from Art Gallery Paris said.

In her words, Ignata Vassileva's paintings capture this, give us this connection with living nature, allow us to contemplate it as much as we want, and transport us to where we want to be - the gardens of paradise with their birds of paradise.

The artist, born in 1970, finished her education in 1996 in the Private Academy of Fine Art Jules Pascin, in Sofia. Her works are part of private collections in Bulgaria and abroad.  She’s a member of the Union of Bulgarian Artists, the Bulgarian Society for the Protection of Birds and the Society of Animal, Floral and Scientific Illustrators. She is an avid birdwatcher and draws inspiration from her visits to botanical gardens and parks around the country and around the world, as well as from her own garden. Vassileva has over 20 solo exhibitions in Bulgaria and abroad, as well as two curatorial projects.
