Alliance for Rights and Freedoms (ARF) Floor Leader Hairi Sadakov said a very rapid response from the authorities is needed in the Petrohan murder case, as the public expects things to happen faster. After Tuesday's consultation with President Iliana Iotova, who is to name a caretaker prime minister, Sadakov talked to the media about six violent deaths that occurred between February 1 and 8 in Northwestern Bulgaria.
Sadakov described the Petrohan case as shocking. "We are calling on the responsible institutions to provide swift answers to the public," he said. ARF expects outgoing Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov and Interior Minister Daniel Mitov to explain in Parliament what is happening.
"The price shock must be addressed to the outgoing government and the caretaker cabinet which is yet to be appointed. We will seek rapid solutions, the public cannot wait,” Sadakov added.
Asked why the ARF had said it considers Bulgarian National Bank Deputy Governor Andrey Gurov a suitable candidate for caretaker prime minister, Sadakov replied that they always follow public opinion.
