The honorary chair of the Alliance for Rights and Freedoms (ARF), Ahmed Dogan, announced that the party will support Rumen Radev. "You alone are the decisive factor in forming an anti-mafia front against our hijacked state! We, from the Alliance for Rights and Freedoms, are unreservedly with you," a post published on Tuesday on the party's Facebook page reads.

"We have a lot of work ahead of us. But with joint efforts, coordination, and unity, we can mobilize all generations to dismantle the "deep state" and restart democracy," Ahmed Dogan added.

"Keep up your determination in the fight for a better Bulgaria," the honorary chairman of the Alliance for Rights and Freedoms wrote.

In a televised address to the nation Monday, Radev said this is his "last address as President" of Bulgaria. He said he will be submitting his resignation as head of State to the Constitutional Court on Tuesday and expressed conviction that Vice President Iliana Iotova will make a worthy President.

The Alliance for Rights and Freedoms emerged in 2025 following an internal rift within Bulgaria's long-established Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF), a party traditionally representing Bulgaria's ethnic Turks and Muslims, among others. The split was triggered by a power struggle between MRF's honorary chairman Ahmed Dogan and the party's co-chair Delyan Peevski, whose growing influence sparked resistance among long-time party figures and regional structures loyal to Dogan. As tensions escalated into claims over party leadership and direction, MPs and officials loyal to Dogan broke away to form the ARF.
