Night skiing in the Borovets mountain resort will kick off on Thursday, the resort reported on its website on Wednesday. It will be open every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., until the snow cover increases from its current depth of about 40 cm.

The lifts are operating. Children can attend free skiing and snowboarding lessons for beginners.

On Saturday, the resort will celebrate World Snow Day for the 15th consecutive year. On Tuesday, the Mountain Rescue Service of the Bulgarian Red Cross advised tourists to ski in designated areas, to mitigate the risk of avalanches when the weather warms up.

The winter season in Borovets was officially opened on December 27, 2025, with a light and torch show.
