Bulgarian Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov will confer with European Council President Antonio Costa, who is scheduled to arrive on an official visit to Bulgaria on September 4, the Government Information Service said on Wednesday.

During their meeting, Zhelyazkov and Costa will discuss the European Union’s (EU) key political priorities and prospects for strengthening cooperation within the Union. Following the talks, the two officials will hold a joint press briefing, the Government press service further said.

Costa’s visit is part of Costa’s “Tour des Capitales” [tour of capitals] across most European countries, during which he will meet national leaders to discuss the Member States’ main political priorities under the EU Multiannual Financial Framework and working methods of the European Council.
