The Civil Aviation Administration (CAA) General Directorate has recommended that all Bulgarian airlines suspend flights to and from the Middle East, given the growing tensions in the region, its press office said on Friday.
CAA's letter to the aviation business stresses the need of a reassessment of the risk of operating flights to and from Tel Aviv, Beirut, Erbil and Tehran. The results of the risk assessment should be provided to the Civil Aviation Administration General Directorate by June 18 with the companies' decision to operate flights to the listed destinations. A formal Notice to Airmen is also to be issued.
