Parliament Chair Kiselova to Meet EU Counterparts in Budapest

National Assembly Chair Nataliya Kiselova will participate on May 12, 2025, in the Conference of Speakers of European Union Parliaments in Budapest, Hungary, the Parliament's press centre said on Friday.

The forum will be opened on May 12 by the Speaker of the Hungarian National Assembly, Laszlo Kover. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban will address the conference.

Chair of the Bulgarian National Assembly Nataliya Kiselova will deliver a speech during the first session of the forum, which will be about the future of the European Union. Keynote speakers will be Walter Rosenkranz, President of the Austrian National Council, and Roberta Metsola, President of the European Parliament.

The second session of the forum will focus on regionalism in Europe and preserving Europe's cultural identity. Keynote speeches are scheduled to be delivered by the President of the Chamber of Deputies of Italy, Lorenzo Fontana, the President of the National Assembly of Serbia, Ana Brnabic, and the President of the National Council of Switzerland, Maja Riniker.

During her visit, Kiselova will meet with representatives of the Bulgarian community in Budapest and visit the church of the Saints Cyril and Methodius.
