President Iliana Iotova has issued a decree appointing Bulgaria’s ambassador to Belgium, Natalia Uzunova, as ambassador to Luxembourg as well, with her seat remaining in Brussels. The decree was published in Tuesday’s issue of the State Gazette.

Under the Constitution, the President appoints the heads of diplomatic missions upon a proposal by the Council of Ministers.

In October 2025, former President Rumen Radev (2017–2026) appointed Natalia Uzunova as Bulgaria’s ambassador to Belgium.
