Bulgarian equestrian Eliza Cholakova finished 12th overall at the 2025 European Jumping Championship for Children, Juniors, and Young Riders in Riesenbeck, Germany, which is the highest placement for Bulgaria at such an event.
Cholakova finished with 10.73 penalty points, posting the best result in the final by delivering two clear rounds over 140 cm hurdles.
The gold medal went to Ireland’s Emily Moloney, who finished with 1.47 penalty points. Ireland’s Tabitha Kyle won silver with 3.27 points, while Sweden’s Liam Nilsson took bronze with 4.68 points.
Just two weeks ago, 17-year-old Cholakova secured second place in the Jumping World Cup event held in Tsaratsovo, near Plovdiv.
