Tokyo, July 27 (BTA special correspondent Dimiter Velyov) - Bulgaria's two-time European badminton champions in women's doubles Tuesday won their last match in the badminton group play stage at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. The two sisters thus finished third in the group and drop out of the competition.
"We are happy that we won this match but we are also disappointed that we failed to make it to the quarter-final, which was our goal," Stefani Stoeva said after Tuesday's match at Musashino Forest Sport Plaza. She and Gabriela Stoeva are happy with the organization in Tokyo but cannot wait to return to Bulgaria, they told BTA.
