site.btaVeliko Tarnovo to Hold Warm-Up Events for Giro d'Italia from May 8 to 10

Veliko Tarnovo will host the finale of the second stage of the Giro d'Italia race on May 9, which will be marked with a three-day marathon of a wide variety of events starting on May 8, the press centre of the Veliko Tarnovo Municipality said on Monday.

A large video wall near the Asenevtsi Monument will broadcast in real time the cyclists' run and the first stage from Nessebar to Burgas on May 8 and the second stage from Burgas to Veliko Tarnovo on May 9.

The musical programme will feature concerts by Mihaela Fileva on May 8, the Junior Band on May 9, followed by a grand parade of all folklore ensembles, groups and formations from the region. The programme will be closed by rappers Torino and Pashata.

On May 10, a road and bike race will take place, while the third stage of the Giro d’Italia will again be broadcast on the video wall near the Asenevtsi Monument.
