                                Unit 6 of the Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant will be shut down for annual maintenance that will last from October 25 to December 1, 2025, the N-plant said on Thursday.
The shutdown has been cleared with the National Dispatching Centre of the Electricity System Operator after the submission of an application.
All activities envisaged in the Unit 6 annual maintenance programme for the 2025 have been adequately resourced and highly skilled staff is available, which ensures the high-quality performance of these activities, the press release says.
During the shutdown, the systems and facilities will undergo overall preventive maintenance and servicing to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the unit, the plant specified.
Along with that, planned measures will be carried out in connection with the long-term operation of the N-plant units. Fresh nuclear fuel will be loaded into the Unit 6 reactor for the next, 31st fuel campaign. The Kozloduy Unit 6 operates according to the electricity production schedule, the press release points out.
The 2025 scheduled maintenance of Kozloduy Unit 6 began in mid-October and was completed on November 23.
