In 2024, Bulgaria’s GDP grew by 3.4% in real terms compared with 2023, according to updated data from the National Statistical Institute (NSI).
In 2024, Bulgaria’s Gross National Income (GNI) at market prices reached BGN 195.961 billion. In comparison, the GNI in 2023 was BGN 176.169 billion, according to NSI data.
For the past year, the GDP reached a nominal value of BGN 204.907 billion, while the gross value added (GVA) amounted to BGN 178.772 billion.
In 2024, the services sector increased its share in the economy’s value added by 1.9 percentage points, reaching 73.1%. Meanwhile, the share of the industrial sector declined to 24.2% in 2024, down from 25.9% in 2023. The agricultural sector contributed 2.7% to the value added, marking a decrease of 0.2 percentage points compared to 2023.
In 2023, the country's GDP reached a nominal value of BGN 185.233 billion, with a gross value added of BGN 162.414 billion, and the GDP growth year-on year stood at 1.9%.
