site.btaRevenues from Nights Spent in August Reach Over BGN 663 Mln

The total revenues from nights spent in August reached BGN 663.7 million – a 14.1% rise compared to the same month of the previous year, show National Statistical Institute data published on Friday. Of this amount, BGN 476.2 million came from non-residents and BGN 187.5 million from Bulgarian residents.

The total occupancy of the bed-places was 57.8% and it decreased by 2.9 percentage points compared to a year earlier. The highest occupancy of the bed-places was in 4 and 5-star accommodation establishments - 73.9%, followed by those with 3 stars - 49.2%, and with 1 and 2 stars - 35.0%.

The number of arrivals increased by 3.1% compared to the same month in 2024, and reached 1,653,400, as an increase by 5.6% for non-residents and by 0.2% for Bulgarian residents was reported. The Bulgarian residents were 734,000 and spent 3.1 nights on average. The arrivals of non-residents were 918,800 and had 4.5 nights on average, as 76.6% of them spent nights in accommodation establishments with 4 and 5 stars.
