The University of Food Technologies (UFT) in Plovdiv will sign a memorandum with UN Tourism, becoming the eleventh higher education institution worldwide to partner with the organization, Prof. Plamen Mollov from UFT said at a press conference ahead of the 9th UN Tourism Global Conference on Wine Tourism, which will take place here on October 6 and 7.
He said that Tourism Minister Miroslav Borshosh has supported UFT’s candidacy as a partner of the UN Tourism's academy. The memorandum will be formally signed on Monday during the conference.
"This is important for us because it will allow us to further develop our educational programmes, provide advanced training for the business sector, and invite global leaders in the field of tourism and top-level experts," Mollov said. He also highlighted opportunities for sharing best practices and exchanging know-how.
Mollov noted that the upcoming conference in Plovdiv surpasses all other annual events held in the city.
