Inflation in Bulgaria increased in July 2025 compared to June, Eurostat reported here on Wednesday.
Annual inflation increased to 3.4% in Bulgaria this July compared to July 2024, while in June these figures stood at 3.1%, according to Eurostat. Monthly inflation rose to 1.4% this July compared to 0.4% in June.
The annual pace of consumer price growth in Bulgaria increased for the fourth consecutive month in July, after registering 2.8% in April, 2.9% in May, and 3.1% in June.
According to the Consumer Price Index, Bulgaria’s annual inflation for July stood at 5.3 percent, while the monthly rate was 1.7 percent, the National Statistical Institute reported last week.
On a monthly basis, Bulgaria recorded one of the largest price increases in the EU at 1.4%.
Inflation in the European Union reached 2.4 percent year-on-year in July — 0.1% higher than in June and 0.4% lower than July 2024. At the same time, in the euro area, the inflation rate remained unchanged in the Eurozone, steady at 2%.
Consumer prices in July compared to June rose by 0.1 percent in the EU, while remaining the same across the Eurozone.
