site.btaSofia Forum to Discuss Bulgaria’s Potential as Strategic Hub for Critical Metals and Rare Minerals

Experts, investors, and policymakers will gather in Sofia on June 24 to discuss Bulgaria’s and Central and Eastern Europe’s emerging role as a strategic hub in global supply chains for critical metals and rare earth elements (CM/REE). The roundtable, titled "Financing the Stone", is organized by the Bulgarian National Committee of the World Energy Council.

The event will take place at the Grand Hotel Millennium Sofia and is expected to be opened by Bulgaria’s Minister of Energy, Zhecho Stankov.

The forum will outline the future of the industry and highlight the region’s growing importance in the global technology landscape. Discussions will focus on specific projects, why securing access to these resources is a strategic priority, and how the region can position itself as a reliable alternative in the global supply of these key materials.
