site.btaBulgaria Second in EU for Construction Production Increase in April, Y/Y

Production in the construction sector in April increased by 3% year-on-year in the euro area and by 2.5% in the EU, reads data from Eurostat published Thursday on the agency’s website. Bulgaria ranks second, as it did in March, with a 7% increase, surpassed only by Spain (14.7%), while Belgium comes in third (6.6%).

The largest declines were observed in Slovenia (-5.9%), Poland (-4.3%), and Slovakia (-2.1%).

On a monthly basis, construction production rose by 1.7% in the euro area and by 1.4% in the EU in April, following a decline in March of 0.2% in the euro area and 0.3% in the EU.
