Speaking about voting abroad for Bulgaria's 52nd National Assembly, Deputy Foreign Minister Radi Naydenov said, at a briefing at the Foreign Ministry in Sofia, that "there is exceptionally high voter turnout abroad."

Earlier on Sunday, Radi Naidenov told a briefing that no problems with voting abroad had been reported.

According to him, there have been no difficulties so far at any polling station abroad, and voting has already concluded in New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, and China.

"There are 493 polling stations in 55 countries abroad; there are 130 machines in 19 countries, and so far, only one machine has malfunctioned, at the Embassy in London," he said.

"Twice as many paper ballots in comparison to the previous elections have been ordered for our diplomatic and consular missions to ensure there are enough ballots," Naydenov added.
