Registration has opened for the 25th edition of Etno Fest Taraclia, which will take place on September 19, 2026, in Taraclia’s central square, the festival organizers said on Tuesday.

The invitation is open to local producers, traditional craftspeople, artistic groups, performers and participants presenting traditional ethnographic displays.

The Taraclia District Council told BTA that representatives of other countries, including Bulgaria, may also take part in the festival, provided they comply with the requirements set out in its rules and regulations.

The organizers noted that places are limited and urged prospective participants to carefully read the festival rules and regulations before submitting an application.

Tatiana Papurova, Head of the Culture and Tourism Department at the Taraclia District Council, has described Etno Fest Taraclia as an important platform for artists from the district and an event that preserves the cultural heritage of the Bulgarian community in Moldova. She made the remarks during the presentation of the July issue of the Bulgarian News Agency’s LIK magazine, dedicated to the Stage of the Ages festival.

According to Papurova, the festival gives performers an opportunity to appear before a wide audience, broadens the cultural horizons of spectators and creates a sense of community. She noted that the event is important not only for cultural life, but also for the region’s image, the development of cultural tourism and the promotion of Taraclia as a centre of the Bulgarian community in Moldova. Most importantly, she said, the festival brings Bulgarians together and reminds them of their shared identity
