Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Innovation and Growth Tomislav Donchev and the Ambassador of the United Kingdom Nathaniel Copsey discussed the deepening of economic relations between Bulgaria and the United Kingdom, the Ministry of Innovation and Growth said on Friday through its Viber information channel.

The talks addressed upgrading Bulgaria’s Discoverer supercomputer with AI capabilities, as well as the new specialized services offered by Sofia Tech Park to businesses and the scientific community.

Donchev and Copsey also reviewed Bulgaria’s successful bid for one of the six new AI factories, known as “Brain++,” and explored strategies for attracting high-tech investment, improving the local business climate, and boosting trust in the country.

Green policies and the potential for further cooperation between Bulgaria and the UK were also high on the agenda.
