The total revenues from nights spent in December 2025, increased by 12.5%, compared to the same month of the previous year, and reached BGN 112.7 million, as BGN 75.6 million were from Bulgarian residents and BGN 37.1 million - from non-residents, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) announced on Thursday on its website.

According to data from the NSI, revenues in December 2024, amounted to BGN 100.2 million (EUR 51.2 million), or 11.6% more than the same month of the previous year. Last year started with revenues from overnight stays amounting to BGN 112.9 million (EUR 57.7 million), or 24% more than the same month of the previous year.

The total occupancy of the bed-places in December 2025, was 25.4% and increased by 1.1 percentage points compared to a year earlier. The highest occupancy was in 4 and 5-star accommodation establishments - 33.4%, followed by those with 3 stars - 24.4%, and with 1 and 2 stars - 15.3%. The total number of nights spent was 1,083,500 or 8.2% more in comparison to a year earlier. The nights spent by Bulgarian residents were 765,500 and by non-residents - 318,000.
