The ethno jazz concert featuring musical groups from Indonesia and Mallorca in Gotse Delchev (Southwest Bulgaria) on Monday was cancelled. The reason is flight difficulties that will prevent the musicians from arriving in Bulgaria.

The concert was organized with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Sofia and the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Indonesia in Bansko.

The programme was about to feature the world-famous Indonesian band Keubitbit and the group Qanat from Mallorca. The Indonesian musicians had to arrive in Gotse Delchev immediately after their participation in Bansko Jazz Festival. This would have been the second presentation of Indonesian jazz in the city, following the concert by the Vertigong group in 2024. Keubitbit's repertoire includes traditional Indonesian motifs intertwined with contemporary jazz arrangements.

Qanat was about to perform for the first time in front of an audience in Gotse Delchev. Qanat is a musical project that combines influences from the Mediterranean, the Middle East, and Central Asia. Their compositions emphasize the cultural exchange between different musical traditions.
