The Hills of Rock music festival returns to Plovdiv from July 25 to 27 on three festival stages, festival organizers said here Friday.

The festival brings together global rock and metal icons like Gojira, Machine Head, The Smashing Pumpkins, Mastodon, Fear Factory, Skunk Anansie, Sepultura, Extreme, Static-X, While She Sleeps, Rise Of The Northstar, As Everything Unfolds, Wolfmother and Vukovi.

The festival programme features Bulgarian and international bands such as Dope, H-Blockx, Kultur Shock, Superhiks, Kerana & Kosmonavtite, Animacionerite, Vendetta, Revue, Crowfish, Smallman, Greesh, and many more.

For the first time in Bulgaria and the Balkans, deaf and hard-of-hearing attendees will be able to experience music through Music: Not Impossible’s haptic suits, allowing users to feel the music through vibrations, accompanied by sign language interpretation provided by Stray Sheep, Deaf.bg, the Development and Integration Foundation, and the Union of the Deaf in Bulgaria.

This year’s festival will also feature new experiences, including the first open-air Hills of Rock art exhibition by Bare Hands Society, showcasing limited-edition posters from Dido Peshev’s archive, including original artwork dedicated to Gojira. A mobile tattoo studio will offer temporary and permanent tattoos without prior booking.
