On August 25, a mobile exhibition, titled "Secrets and Mysteries of Heraclea Sintica: A Journey Through Time" by the Historical Museum in Petrich, Southwestern Bulgaria, will be presented as part of the Olympus Festival, which takes place in the Greek city of Dion, museum director Katya Stoyanova told BTA.

Prof. Lyudmil Vagalinski, head of the archaeological team researching Heraclea Sintica, will give a lecture at the opening, in which he will present the latest discoveries from the ancient city.

The exhibition is innovative and has a clear social focus. The artifacts on display will also be accessible to blind visitors, as visitors can touch and feel them, and the exhibition includes Braille inscriptions.

All models in the exhibition have been digitized using 3D scanning. Short animated videos have been created for them, accessible via a special QR code. The copies of the artifacts from Heraclea Sintica were made with funding from the Ministry of Culture worth nearly BGN 38,000.

The first presentation of the exhibition was at the end of February in Budapest, at the Bulgarian Cultural Institute, where it was received with great interest.

The next stop is Warsaw, where the traveling exhibition aims to encourage long-term cooperation with universities, lecturers, and students.

The culmination of its international presentation will be a visit to the European Parliament in Brussels from December 2 to 5, 2025, where a large-scale and wide-ranging presentation of Heraclea Sintica will take place, Katya Stoyanova added.
