The fifth edition of an international painting plein-air titled Bosilegrad in Colors concluded with an open-air exhibition in the courtyard of the GLAS Association and BTA Press Club in Bosilegrad.
From July 13 to 20, fifteen professional artists from Bulgaria, Serbia, and the Republic of North Macedonia spent a week creating works inspired by the natural beauty, cultural heritage, and distinctive atmosphere of the Bosilegrad region. The event included visits to picturesque villages, historical landmarks, and cultural activities such as concerts, literary evenings, and local folklore presentations.
The exhibition featured artworks depicting iconic local scenes like the village of Izvor, the Church of the Holy Trinity, Bosilegrad’s cobblestone streets, the first monastic school in the area, and Lake Vlasina.
Special guests at the event were members of the Kyustendil art community, including Valentin Gospodinov, director of the local Art Gallery.
All participating artists received certificates of appreciation during the exhibition’s opening. Organizers from the GLAS Association and a St. Kliment Ohridski community centre in Sofia expressed gratitude to the artists and confirmed plans to host the sixth edition next year.
