Hello, Space! Bulgaria Calling! festival could attract more children to explore science and technology, with Bulgaria having traditions and a place in space science, said Minister of Education and Science Krassimir Valchev on Tuesday at the opening of the festival’s fifth edition.
The event is held at Sofia Tech Park and is organized by the Atlantic Club of Bulgaria and STEAM and Space Cluster Bulgaria, with the general support of the US Embassy in Bulgaria, Sofia Tech Park, the support of Sofia Municipality and under the patronage of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Bulgaria.
Minister Valchev congratulated teachers, researchers, students, and the festival organizers. "Congratulations also to the Atlantic Club of Bulgaria, which for 30 years has been connecting people and ideas, policies and science, the present and the future. Congratulations for making the conversation and the idea of space so accessible to many people and children," the minister added.
Ivan Goychev, Deputy Mayor of Sofia in charge of Digitalization, Innovation, and Economic Development, stated at the opening that the festival is one of the major events in Sofia Municipality’s cultural calendar. He extended greetings to the participants and organizers on behalf of Sofia’s Mayor Vasil Terziev.
