Sofia University Professor Awarded Leopold Sedar Senghor International Poetry Prize

Prof. Rennie Yotova from the Faculty of Classical and New Philologies of Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" was awarded a second prize for her poem "Delete" at the International Poetry Competition named after Senegalese poet Leopold Sedar Senghor, the University said Wednesday. More than 600 participants from all over the world entered the competition.

The Leopold Sedar Senghor International Poetry Prize aims to promote the culture of peace, solidarity and love between peoples through poetry.

Written in French, the poem "Delete" is included in Rennie Yotova's recently published poetry collection "La perpetuation du Bien", with illustrations by Senegalese artist Momar Sek.
