BTA and Cantus Firmus signed a partnership agreement on Tuesday. The document was signed by Cantus Firmus Executive Director and European Music Festival President Vassil Dimitrov and BTA Director General Kiril Valchev.

"BTA renews an important partnership in the field of music, which is key to the cultural diversity in Europe: it is the universal language that we use to understand each other in Europe, and that all humanity uses to understand each other. The language that has the greatest unifying power", Valchev pointed out. Over the years, the European Music Festival has featured some of the most renowned musicians of our time, he added.

"The European Music Festival is an event that is dedicated to the values of the European idea", said Dimitrov. He recalled that the festival had already opened with a concert by the Princeton University Orchestra. The festival programme will feature more concerts until the beginning of June, and then, after a small break, will continue with its autumn edition, he added.

The Head of the Culture Directorate at Sofia Municipality, Biliana Genova, noted that this year the festival's focus is on young performers. She also thanked the partners of the festival, because, in her words, such big events cannot be organized only with the assistance of one institution.
