The National Military History Museum presents its annual display “Memory for the Future”. It will open on January 31, the Museum said on Thursday.

After a two-year hiatus because of the COVID-19 pandemic the museum resumed a tradition at the beginning of each year to display some of its most interesting exhibits that have been donated. These include personal belongings of key Bulgarian historical figures and artefacts from the Defence Ministry.

The modern face of the Bulgarian armed forces has been presented through valuable items and documents from the participation of the Bulgarian Armed Forces in the NATO operations in Afghanistan, donated by Lieutenant General Lyubcho Todorov.

The last pre-COVID-19 exhibition in 2020 showed nearly 900 artefacts including a coin of Tsar Ivan Alexander of Bulgaria (1331-1373).
